IS REMODELING IN YOUR BUDGET THIS YEAR?

Everyone knows that certain remodeling trends appear then disappear. You would want to invest in items/remodeling that would benefit your needs and your investment dollars. Some trends today which could help you in the day-to- day living and in later years for recouping your expenses.

  • KITCHENS-use glass tiles instead of ceramic tiles; stone compound sinks and countertops; non-glass front cabinets (they look better in the magazines than in person!)
  • BATHROOMS-use glass tiles here also; use inlaid bathroom sinks instead of above the counter for easier cleaning
  • OUTSIDE-trim, doors, and window frames are going with bold and deep colors; a new fence in wrought iron instead of wood or chain link gives a look that says luxury
  • PAINTING-it is amazing how a new coat of paint brightens and freshens the appearance of our homes; be adventuresome and try new color combinations; invest in a few home-type magazines for ideas that are easy for you to accomplish
  • GENERAL MAINTENANCE-sometimes we forget that just going around the interior and exterior and fixing items that need maintenance such as a broken brick, or excess yard ornaments, knick-knacks, and the such will give your home a new feel and new look
  • DECORATING- a few inexpensive pillow in colors or other home furnishing may add a new look to your living areas; keep the basics neutral and use the colors of sheets, bedspreads, lamp shades, throw rugs to change the look instantly
