Why Homeownership Is Still A Smart Decision In Today's Market

1.Homeownership is a solid long-term investment
2.The IRS gives big advantages to homeowners
3.Generally speaking, home values are still rising
4.What the market is doing Nationally is irrelevant to you
5.Buying opportunities have improved
6.You don't have to worry about timing the market
7.Smart home financing options are still available

To touch on the highlighted points above remember the following:

1.Don't be misled by the media referring to a "National housing slump".
Real estate isn't national
, it's local. So even though some markets are struggling ask your real estate professional about your local market.

2.Smart Home Financing options are still prevalent in today's current market. When considering a new purchase think of the following:

  • Do you have a full time stable job?
  • Do you make your current monthly payments timely?
  • Do you think you could handle a larger monthly payment?
  • Mortgage rates are remaining low by historic standards
  • First time and current homeowners with decent credit record won't notice much of a difference in loan options available
Don't assume that this is a bad time to purchase a home. Go beyond the current media headlines and make well-informed decisions for yourself by talking to a Mortgage Consultant today. You will not know unless you ask.
